Project description
Renovating its schoolyard to create a safer and more engaging place for students to engage in physical activity and build social relationships.
The challenge
The playground at Phum Steung Primary School had become worn down over the years. Uneven ground and damaged equipment made the area unsafe, which limited how freely the children could play and take part in physical activity during the school day.
Our solution
As part of our 2025 initiatives, the playground area was renovated to create a safer and more engaging space. The ground was leveled, damaged equipment was repaired, and the area was improved to encourage physical activity and make the school environment more welcoming for the children.
The impact
The renovation plays a vital role in promoting the students’ physical and emotional well-being. For many children in rural schools, the playground is the only place where they can freely express themselves, improve their motor skills, and develop teamwork and social interaction. A safe place to play is one of the most basic, yet most important, parts of a child’s school life.
