Who we are
BAMBOOS is a newly founded Danish non-profit NGO founded with a deep belief that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty for Cambodia’s poorest children.
Inspired by the strength and resilience of bamboo, we have set out to build sustainable schools, provide essential learning opportunities, and in this way create a better future for families in extreme poverty.
Our journey is driven by the conviction that every child deserves a fair chance in life, regardless of where they are born.
As a Danish NGO, we not only create direct impact in Cambodia but also offer Danish youth the opportunity to engage, learn, and contribute—bridging two worlds through education, empowerment and personal development. Danish youth can engage as members or volunteers either in Denmark or on the ground in Cambodia.

All funds spent on charity
100% of donations go directly towards making a difference for the children and their families in Cambodia. We support children, families and schools to break the poverty cycle.
Direct Impact
Every contribution directly supports those in need. In Cambodia even small amounts make a substantial difference. We offer our partners to be very present and witness their funding has a direct impact.
Strong Concept
Based on strong NGO experience, proven concepts, local networks, and an experienced board, BAMBOOS programs are effective, sustainable, transparent and deeply rooted in the local community.
Danish Youth Engagement
We offer a program designed to help young people in Denmark grow through meaningful, hands-on volunteer experiences that build resilience, adaptability, and foster personal growth.
