On January 1st, 2026, BAMBOOS officially took over Kamboo Project’s work in Cambodia.
We have worked closely together with Kamboo Project since the very beginning of BAMBOOS – and now we are taking the next step towards creating even greater impact.
Kamboo Project itself wanted this transition, as BAMBOOS brings additional resources, structure, and capacity to scale the work and reach even more children.
This transition means that BAMBOOS now builds on 12 years of documented success to create even greater change for children and families in Cambodia.
Since 2014, Kamboo Project has worked with school construction, education, clean drinking water, and sanitation at 33 schools in Cambodia – the very same schools where BAMBOOS is working today. As a result, more than 50,000 children and their families have been supported, with a special focus on girls.
We now continue and expand the strong legacy of Kamboo Project to create even greater opportunities for children and families in Cambodia.
The future is clear:
- More schools will be renovated and built
- Afternoon Schools with education programs will be established
- More children will gain access to education, jobs, and self-sufficiency
