Board member visits our team and schools in Cambodia – our activities matter

Our board member Jacob N. Andersen Jacob and his wife recently visited Cambodia to meet the local BAMBOOS team, the schools we support, and most importantly, the children at the heart of our work.

During their visit, they met school leaders, teachers, and children who are working every day to create better opportunities through education. Their experience offered a powerful reminder of both the challenges many families in Cambodia continue to face, and the hope, motivation, and potential found in the classrooms supported by BAMBOOS.

One meeting made a particularly strong impression: an 11-year-old girl named Va, who attends 6th grade at one of the schools supported by BAMBOOS. Despite difficult living conditions and her family’s struggle with poverty, she greeted the visitors with smiles and enthusiasm to learn.

The visit reinforced a clear message: our local activities matter and education is one of the most important paths to lasting, sustainable change in Cambodia. By supporting local public schools and helping teachers with tools and know-how, BAMBOOS can continue making a real difference for children and their families.
