Kamboo Project is now part of BAMBOOS
BAMBOOS has taken over Kamboo Project’s work in Cambodia, bringing together an experienced local team, a trusted network and more than a decade of documented impact.
Recently, BAMBOOS has taken over Kamboo Project’s work in Cambodia. After more than a decade of projects in school construction, education, clean water and sanitation, Kamboo Project’s experienced Cambodian team, trusted local network and documented impact have now become a central part of BAMBOOS’ local operations in Cambodia.
To all supporters of Kamboo Projects, this means continuity and growth, not an end. The same local team continues its work in full flow under the BAMBOOS banner, in the same rural communities and schools where Kamboo Project has been active since 2014.
This means continuity and growth, not an end. The same local team continues its work under the BAMBOOS banner.
BAMBOOS carries forward the complete legacy of Kamboo Project and is committed to taking good care of this heritage: respecting longstanding relationships, maintaining the practical, community-based approach, and using new resources to extend and strengthen the impact.
Thomas Gilbert, co-founder and president of Kamboo Project, has recently been appointed to the BAMBOOS Board to make sure that BAMBOOS can grow off the platform that Kamboo Project has established.
One stronger international framework
Kamboo Project in Switzerland will remain in place to support this shared mission. The Swiss association will continue fundraising and mobilising volunteers for the same type of projects and activities.
Soon, it will be renamed BAMBOOS Switzerland, operating under the BAMBOOS umbrella to create one stronger international framework around a common vision for children and families in Cambodia.
