Project description

The challenge

Romdeng Primary School lacked the classroom space and sanitation facilities needed to serve its students properly. Without enough rooms and adequate toilets and handwashing points, both learning conditions and school hygiene were held back.

Our solution

This is our largest school construction project to date. It comprises a new six-room school building with spacious, well-equipped classrooms built from high-quality materials; a four-room toilet block with separate facilities for male and female students to promote health and privacy; and two group handwashing stations placed for easy access. The project was designed with sustainability in mind throughout, using environmentally friendly materials, efficient waste management and smart design choices that ensure ample natural lighting, ventilation and effective drainage.

The impact

With construction complete and the facilities fully operational, hundreds of students now have access to a better education and improved school hygiene. The eco-conscious design means the buildings will serve the school community for generations to come.

Made possible by

We extend our deepest gratitude to our two sponsors and partners, Mr. Dave Richter and the SE Asia Foundation, as well as all the carefully selected suppliers who contributed to making this project a reality.
